Battletome: Legions of Nagash
Battletome: Legions of Nagash will revitalise (joke intended) the Death grand alliance.
This page needs a bit of an update now that the book has arrived in order to consolidate all the material which we now know. For the most complete information, check out my Legions of Nagash review show and my Nagash – his story, lore and background shows. When I get a chance, I’ll consolidate them both here.
I’m also running a competition over on my Twitter feed for a brand new set of Realmgates to run with the new releases of Nagash, Daughters of Khaine and Malign Portents. Simply follow me, and quote retweet this tweet with #aosshorts and your best tactics advice, lore snippet or epic battlefield tale that will fit in a tweet. The competition runs to 3 March. All the details are in the tweet.
Death is rising. An ill wind blows from Shyish. All will fall before the Great Necromancer!

Six allegiances!
The book contains all the warscrolls for every Death model “(so far…)” and the rules for six allegiances (including four new ones):
- the Grand Host of Nagash;
- Legion of Night;
- Legion of Sacrament;
- Legion of Blood;
- Soulblight; and
- General Death.
Each of the new legions corresponds to a Mortarch (or Nagash himself), and each allegiance, while using a mixed pool of Death units, will feature its own unique in-game mechanics and abilities.
The Warhammer Community team have previewed each of the new Legions:
- The Grand Host of Nagash and New Summoning
- The Legion of Sacrament
- The Legion of Blood and Prince Vhordrai
- The Legion of Night and the Bloodseeker Palanquin
Shyish, the realm of death
The book also provides a guide to Shyish, including of everyday life for the people that live there.
