At the Las Vegas Open 2019 and GAMA, Games Workshop have teased a new Warhammer Age of Sigmar supplement called Forbidden Power. This supplement will advance the narrative of the Soul Wars, provide new magic and new rules for “all of your games”.
Here I’ll be doing my usual thing and compiling all the information about the new release as and when the information drops. Just what you need to know, without click-bait, obnoxious ads or pop-ups.
Before you get there, check out Dark Fantastic Mills for great 3D printed terrain perfect for wargaming. The DFM terrain is super versatile and light so worldwide shipping is inexpensive. Use the “aos shorts” discount code for a further 10% off the already decent prices.
Forbidden Power
The Souls Wars will continue to be the main narrative arc for Warhammer Age of Sigmar in 2019. We’ve been promised a look into the consequences of the Necroquake – a released Slaanesh anyone?
We also now have a title “Forbidden Power: A Warhammer Age of Sigmar Expansion” and a teaser video with lots of cogs and a statement that the “Stormvaults open”. Expect at least another Malign Sorcery style book and new generic Endless Spells (as previously previewed on Warhammer Community around New Years).
At GAMA, Games Workshop dropped another video. The video has a very Hysh-vibe for me and maybe this is the source of the Stormvaults.
The key line from the video is “even a god may regret what he has done….” Is this Sigmar? Nagash? What is the power that is hidden? Magical artefacts? Lightning Gheists?
New Endless Spells
New Endless Spells available to all armies representing the magics of Shyish.
New Terrain Piece
A new terrain piece available to each army through Forbidden Power.
Forbidden Power: Informed Speculation
Now, time for some informed speculation based on other recent Games Workshop releases.
